What is the difference between the HMX and HMX-TRUCK?
The HMX is the mobile control unit for field deployment. The HMX-TRUCK is the stationary extension for the vehicle workstation: two dedicated 3-axis joystick units, fixed desk mounting and an integrated E-stop for ergonomic continuous operation.
Why are two separate joystick units advantageous?
Two dedicated 3-axis joysticks enable simultaneous and precise control of crawler and camera head – independently of each other, without compromise on control.
Can the HMX-TRUCK be adapted to individual workflows?
Yes. All button assignments and momentary pushbutton functions are software-configurable and individually adaptable to the respective workflow.
How safe is operation with the HMX-TRUCK in an emergency?
The integrated E-stop on the left unit enables immediate emergency stop of the entire system at the touch of a button – maximum operational safety in continuous operation.
How is the HMX-TRUCK connected to the HMX?
The integrated USB hub connects both joystick units to the HMX. An additional external USB port enables direct data access at the vehicle workstation – without detours.
For what vehicle types is the HMX-TRUCK suitable?
The HMX-TRUCK is mounted on the vehicle’s desk surface via M6 threaded inserts – suitable for standard inspection vehicles. The angled housing optimises ergonomics for the seated operator in the vehicle.
